Hunter Valley Gardens
Hunter Valley Gardens are the largest privately-owned garden in Australia. Located in the city of Pokolbin, Hunter Region, the garden is set on 225 hectares of land. With the main attractions being the 60 acres of international display gardens. Featuring 10 amazingly themed gardens with influences from around the world. The universal display of gardens where you can experience without leaving the state – Italy, Japan, China, and India to name but a few. One of my favorite is the Storybook garden. To see what Alice in Wonderland is up to, or if Humpty Dumpty really does fall off the wall. A breath-taking experience of sight, fragrance, and colour to delight tourists of all ages and nationalities!

Rose Garden – Hunter Valley Gardens
The Rose garden is decorated with rose-covered arches, rose beds, rose bushes, and walkways lined with roses of seemingly endless varieties and colours. Different spices of spectacular rose bushes with a ray of variety make rose garden exquisite. You will be stunned by the magnificent roses of all colours wherever you look and an overwhelming abundance of flowers on your stroll through the rose garden.
Italian Grotto – Hunter Valley Gardens
Watch over by the statue of Saint Francis of Assisi. A calm stream besides rustic pagoda from where you can enjoy the stunning view of the garden featuring orange, lemon, olive trees as well as lavender bushes. The air is thick with the intoxicating aroma of lavender, orange and lemon groves. As an added bonus, it offers spectacular views of the Garden.
Chinese Moongate Garden – Hunter Valley Gardens
Step through the Chinese moon gate to enter into a Chinese garden surrounded by two bronze Temple Guardians. Featuring traditional elements of rugged rocks, raked decorative gravels, and slow-growing grass. Chinese garden offers a peaceful environment and this garden features Conifers, Camellia Sasanqua, Azaleas, Bamboo, and many edible fruits including Cumquats, Mulberries, and Persimmons.
Sunken Garden
The sunken garden- featuring majestic 10-meter waterfall offer spectacular views of hunter ally garden sunken garden designed as a center piece of the project. The garden laying with Australian native banyan plants and spring flowering trees like Cumquats, cheery-blossom, and Camellia.
Border Garden
You can have the best view from the observation deck. This garden looks like a Persian carpet due to its design with a lot of geometry in shape and things. The garden is surrounded by impressive floral patterns contained within manicured box hedging and embraces magnificent displays of colorful endings. This garden features a white border marble garden water fountain, hand-carved Indian marble water feature, and statues representing four seasons.
Storybook Garden
Featuring traditional nursery rhyme characters, the storybook garden is a delight for all ages. This garden takes you through the journey of childhood dreams, memories, and fantasies. Just entering the storybook garden through the giant book being read by topiary Giraffe is an experience in itself. Larger-than-life nursery rhyme characters and spectacular murals greet you at every corner offering excellent photo opportunities.
Join Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill as they tumble down the hill, Alice in Wonderland at the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, Little Bo Peep and many more. They all leave happily ever after.
Formal Garden
This garden is influenced by classical garden designs from France and England. The style garden featuring ray of topiary and finely manicured lawns. Make a wish at wishing fountain with all proceeds going to a charity.
Oriental Garden
With a Japanese and Korean influence, this garden has a magnificent two-story traditional Japanese pagoda surrounded by a Koi pond is one of the key features. One of the highlights of the Oriental garden is the beautifully crafted Korean velvet grass or Zoysia Tenuifolia.
Indian Mosaic Garden
This garden is heavily influenced by Indian design featuring a bronze elephant gate. This garden has the aromas of India, with curry plants filling the air with their spicy scent.
The wonderful Tea house is finely crafted providing a perfect shady spot to relax. The Indian Tea House is finely crafted with traditional Indian embellishments. A perfect shaded spot to enjoy views of this garden and its topiary elephants.
Lakes Walk
One of the beautiful aspects of the Hunter Valley Garden is the lake walk. Offering opportunities to experience the water features, the soothing sound of the waterfall, and streams around the lake. The best location for wedding celebrations at lake walk Chapel and lakes rotunda.
